Insurers use live satellite maps to analyze the risk factor
Mr. Rozario, my neighbor is a Director in a leading insurance company in our country. I happened to visit his office one day. Inside his chamber was a large LCD screen which was displaying a map of the world and he was busy locating something there. I could not stop myself from asking him what he was doing. I was quite amazed at knowing that the maps in fact were Live Satellite Maps of the earth which are very handy in looking at a location in its current situation. He told me that they use it to evaluate a site and analyze the risk in the area.
