When you have decided to do a doctorate in computer science, it is adequate proof that you are interested in the subject and that you want to contribute in some way or the other to the field. One needs to remember however that a computer science phd requires a lot of work. This is not a study where a cursory glance of the subject will bring in any results. If you are not the kind of person who is interested in doing some real hard work, do not try a computer science phd; it is not the right thing for you.
