A Beginner Can Master Spanish Quickly

Monday, June 30th, 2008

I remember learning Spanish during my high school years. As a beginner, the first year was tough because you had to remember all the syntax that comes with most languages. But as you begin to master the common expressions the syntax falls into place and you begin to hear yourself speak words and expressions that only a master can copy. Well, this is not to get ahead of yourself, but you need to have confidence in your ability to learn Spanish if you are to succeed. Also when locals praise you for proper pronunciation you get a sense that your efforts are paying off big time. So continue with your learning because in a few short weeks you will have mastered many words, phrases and idiom of your new language.

Tapes and transcription

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

If you are using tapes for your transcription work, it is necessary for you to understand that the tape recorder needs to be in very good condition. This is especially true if you are going in for some kind of audio  transcription  which requires good sound quality. If you do not ensure this kind of quality, it is possible that you will end up with faulty transcripts that are not accepted by anybody. Many people who are interested in the transcription work make sure that they go in for high end stuff while choosing machinery. Once they do this, they are also bound to get good results.

Sunday, December 30th, 2007

When I was first trying to learn basic russian I used a few different methods. I firmly belive that you should try and enguage all of your senses when learning everything. It's important to hear, see, do and even smell what you are trying to learn.

One book I really liked and found helped me the most in my quest to speak russian was "The New Penguin Russian Course: A Complete Course for Beginners". You can find this book at most popular online retailers including Amazon.com or you can pick it up in your local bookstore if it's one of the larger branches. To give you an idea of the price it currently retails at $12.24 on Amazon.
