Is it Worth it to Get an Executive MBA?

Wednesday, March 4th, 2009

I am considering getting an Executive Mba, but I am not sure whether or not this will be worth my time or my money if my company doesn’t agree to sponsor me. Can anyone tell me whether or not this type of program will really help me out? I want to get help with increasing my job skills, and I would also like a nice salary increase since I will have a further degree. Hopefully by completing one of these programs I will be able to achieve these goals. I am hoping to find a program that has class mainly on the weekends to make it easier for me to attend.

MCSE sameple questions

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

One of the nice things about being able to take, and pass your mcse, is that there are lots of web sites that offer mcse certificate sample questions. From these sites, you can access hundreds of questions that are likely to be on the mcse test. With this knowledge, you are able to better prepare yourself for the test. If you are able to answer these practice test questions, there is a very good chance that you know enough about the certification to be able to pass the test. It is a very good idea for anyone who is in the technical field to get this certification.

Learning the culinary arts had never been a viable option for most people after graduating from high school. But with a change in times and attitude, many people are considering the option of getting a degree in vegetarian culinary arts. There are many schools which have sprung up in various parts of the world. These schools offer world-class knowledge in becoming a chef. Apart from the regular knowledge imparted necessary to become a chef, most of these schools also teach the students the various aspects of kitchen manners and food ingredients. The best thing about learning the culinary arts is the fact that they are never going to go out of style since they will be required always.

Scholastic Aptitude Test: The Basics

Friday, January 30th, 2009

College admissions decisions, and sometimes even your future employment, may depend partly on the scores of your scholastic aptitude test (SAT). That’s why it’s so important to prepare for the test so you can do well and accurately show what you know and what you can do with your knowledge. Online test preparation software, as well as the standardized Preliminary SAT (PSAT), help students to prepare for the exam. The Scholastic Aptitude Test consists of one writing section, one mathematics section, and one critical reading section. Each is scored between 200 and 800. The SAT Subject Tests (formerly called the Achievement Tests) are also beneficial to take in addition.

Do We Have to Pay Taxes on Earnings of an Education IRA?

Tuesday, January 13th, 2009

I am trying to figure out which type of education savings plan will give us the most tax benefits. Right now I am looking into the Education Ira. Can anyone tell me whether or not you have to pay taxes on the earnings of the money you invest in this type of IRA? I don’t want my kids to owe taxes on this when they withdraw it to pay for school. How exactly does this work? I would love it if someone could tell me where I can go to find out more information on this type of IRA so that I can make an informed decision.

Keeping It Straight with a Phd Study Plan

Friday, December 19th, 2008

If you are going for your doctorate, you would be surprised with how quickly your life becomes jumbled as a result. It always helps for you to keep things straight and for that, it often helps to have a phd study plan in place. Not only this plan help you to see at a glance, the classes that you have already taken at the credits that you need to take, it can also help you to make sure that personal matters are also taken care of. Make sure that you have one of these written before you ever enter into the university.

Student Loans For The Future

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

We have tried to save enough money to put our kids thru college but it has just not been enough. When we decided to look into student loans unsecured it was scary but we had little choice in the matter. We made too much money to qualify for any type of financial aid and yet we did not make enough to live and pay for college. Doesn’t anyone realize that many families have more then one child in college at the same time? We had three in at one time for two of four years. The loans made it possible for my kids to finish their educations.  They could even get a graduate student loan if they wanted to continue their educations beyond undergrad.

Story time!

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

My son’s first grade class recently started this unit of character lessons, in which they tell stories (morality tales I believe is the technical term) that teach a lesson.  It’s been such a great thing in little Earl’s life, he comes home saying “Mommy, I learned today that it’s bad when you don’t share!” or things like that.  Mrs. Henderson, his teacher said she found the idea online at site that has downloadable character education lesson plans and that’s where she got the idea for an interactive story for 30 minutes everyday where the kids journey with the story and learn the lesson that the story’s hero learns!

Learning About Massage Therapy Schools

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

I’ve been checking out the massage therapy schools in my area, trying to decide if I can afford to make a change. I hate my job, and want to do something different.
It seems like Massage School Los Angeles is a good possibility. It would be best to stay close to home, after all, and I think I can afford it if I tighten my belt.
Being a massage therapist would be so much more enjoyable than what I’m doing now. I could build a list of clients I like, set my own hours – it sounds like a good life.
Your comments are welcome as always.
