New Renault Jealousy

Monday, November 30th, 2009

I was meeting some girlfriends for a weekly luncheon date that we have had since we graduated from college. Even though we are busy, we promised we would stay in touch and we have for the past five years. We decided on a small cafe because the weather was perfect for sitting outside. We were all there except one and all of a sudden we see this cute, red car pull up. Admiring the vehicle, we noticed it was a New Renault and were jealous. Our late friend was the one exiting the driver’s seat and we couldn’t wait to hear the details about her new car.

A paintless dent repair has traditionally been used by used car dealers or insurance companies to prepare a vehicle for resale. It is an inexpensive option and one that isn’t time consuming. Many body shops and franchises are providing this service as an extra product. There are also a variety of “do it yourself” kits on the market, and websites to tell you what to do. Usually hail damage, small dings made by shopping carts or small dents made by the door hitting another vehicle, are good candidates for this type of repair.

Knowledge Applied Correctly in GPS Purchase

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

As a student majoring in electrical and electronics engineering, I’m exposed to the designs and features of various electrical and electronic devices. Among the products I’m familiar with include GPS devices. As I am aware of the features to look out for in a good GPS, I’ve applied this knowledge in my recent GPS purchase. I’ve chosen the best auto GPS unit as a gift for my friend. The device includes all the essential features such as clear display of map and voice projection system. Delighted with my gift, my friend reciprocated by buying me a gadget I was fond of.

I Learned a Lesson

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

I was in a hurry the other day when I was on my way to work.  I was in so much of a hurry, in fact, that I didn’t see the stick that was in the middle of the street that had a big nail sticking out of it.  And, because I was in a hurry the night before, I had forgotten to make sure that I had a spare tire in my car.  I was very thankful that I had Roadside Assistance included in my insurance plan.  I called my wife to let her know that I was getting the tire fixed, and she was pretty upset.

The Mustang is a Top Notch American Sports Car

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

I have taken several trips, full speed head, in a few different sports cars. One of my most enjoyable experiences was driving a left hand drive ford Mustang. These babies can really fly. It wasn’t even that great of a model. It wasn’t a GT. It was a base model. But, man, was it fun. I was driving down the free way, following the flow of traffic, and then just pressed down a bit on the accelerator. I smoothly ran it up to 90 miles per hour and started to fly by everyone. The car drove so smooth that I didn’t realize I hit 90 until I looked down to check my speed!

Hitching a trailer

Thursday, September 17th, 2009

A trailer coupler is used to secure the trailer to the towing vechicle. The trailer coupler attaches to the trailer ball. This forms a ball and socket connection to allow for relative movement between the towing vehicle and trailer while towing over uneven road surfaces. The trailer ball is mounted to the draw bar, which is usually removable. The draw bar is secured to the trailer hitch by inserting it into the hitch receiver and pinning it. The three most common types of couplers are Straight Couplers, A-Frame Couplers, and Adjustable Couplers. Another type of hitch is known as a “fifth” wheel. Fifth wheel coupling is used with gooseneck style trailers to attach the trailer to the bed of the towing vehicle, ahead of the rear wheels. This type of hitch is used for larger trailers and provides considerably more stability than does a traditional bumper-pull hitch.

She Has an Unlikely Hobby

Sunday, September 13th, 2009

One of my favorite radio personalities is actually a huge fan of Harley’s. You wouldn’t think so by looking at the chick. She’s a tiny little thing, but she owns this totally tricked out Harley trike. I can’t imagine that she spend time on free biker chat or anything, as she’s just such a busy lady. However, she likes to post videos of her bike and talk about the hobby a lot. I think she even does those charity rides every so often. She’s also a black belt in karate, so I would not want to meet her in a dark alley if I was a bad guy. And, she knows a bad guy when she sees him!

Financing Auto Repairs 3

Sunday, September 13th, 2009

In some cases, a repair facility may be willing to swap services for a repair bill. For example, if the shop needs painting, you might be able to pay your repair bill by agreeing to paint the shop or to paint their outdoor signage. Or, if the shop owner has small kids, you might offer to trade babysitting to pay for your repair bill. Daycare in many large cities can cost up to $250 a week or more, which can offset a repair bill fairly quickly. Know how to make pizza? Maybe you could deliver some homemade pizzas to the shop several days a week to pay for your auto repair bill.

Mcnamara And The Ford Lincoln

Sunday, August 2nd, 2009

Car Forums have posted on all kinds of autos and many one of them may have never seen the light of day if Robert McNamara had not got his way. He was in charge of the Ford Motor Groups development side of things back in the 50′s and had a love hate relationship with the Ford Lincoln. McNamara also came close to terminating the Lincoln after the very large 1958 through 1960 models proved unpopular, forcing product planners to reinvent the car for 1961. They are fondly remembered by those that love autos from that era but McNamara wanted to obviously make Ford money and so changed the thinking behind the Lincoln. His new, smaller Lincoln Continental was an instant hit. Its 1961 models were a four-door sedan and four-door convertible and are iconic today.

Honda Jazz For Less

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

The Honda Jazz is a spectacular supermini that seems to defy the laws of physics by being so enormously spacious inside and providing an interior big enough to comfortably fit a family of 5. This is extremely rare for a supermini and deserves to be justyly rewarded by great sales and positive reviews.

I bought my Honda Jazz from Norton Way as they had the best deals available on the best small hatchback on the market. I would highly recommend that anyone who is interested in buying a Honda Jazz visits Norton Way as soon as possible to find a great offer.

Vauxhall Corsa Occasion

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Living out in the sticks, it’s important to have a car that not only handles well on twisting country lanes but also transforms into the perfect Town Mouse when I need to visit more urban areas.

I’ve had my share of Land Rovers and 4x4s, and nothing comes close to the adaptability offered by one car; the Vauxhall Corsa.  With handling that puts its bigger cousins to shame, the little Corsa has become a firm favourite for heading out into the bright lights of the city without worrying whether I’ll be able to fit into a parking space.  No matter where you live, a Vauxhall Corsa is a car for every occasion.
