Lets Spice it Up with Salsa!

Monday, February 15th, 2010

Not too long ago I met this guy in my yoga class and he was raving about salsa dancing. It sounded like a ton of fun. He invited me to go out and dance with him some night. I told him I would love to but I’ve never salsa danced before. He told me he’d be more than willing to accompany me to some lessons. I was thrilled. I found a place, kansas city dance lessons, and signed the both of us up! I can’t wait until after our classes; I’m dying to get dressed up and really shake our stuff on the dance floor!

Give me games

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

Whoever thought that learning to play the piano could be fun. With a piano is fun review or program you are capable of learning how to play piano with the help of games. What more could you ask for? Enhancing your musical skills while playing games sounds great to me.

Piano is fun allows the learner to progress through many different stages from novice to pro, while playing fun games that allow the student to pick and choose the levels of mastery. What a great concept, learn and play games all at the same time. Now if only my children’s school teachers could catch on to this concept my kids might actually enjoy school.

Get Loud With My Oud

Sunday, January 17th, 2010

I just know that this is going to be really loved by all of my loved ones. I just want to make sure that I would get to have the best of the best. I know for sure that it is going to be a lot better to change the landscape of the instruments by members of our family. While most play the more traditional instruments, I decided to play the oud. Learning how to play the oud is much like how it used to be with the other instruments that I learned before. This is different though, in a way. Well, I am just thinking that this is really going to be a lot different from all of the others. The oud would be really an interesting thing to learn.

80′s Bands Still Rockin The House

Sunday, January 17th, 2010

Remember the passion and power of 80’s bands?  They rocked the house down, partied all night, then got up and did it all over again.  Well, you can still catch a lot of these 80’s metal heads touring across the country.  Yes, they may be partying a bit less and not playing in major arenas to tens of thousands of fans, but they are still out there.  The good thing is that most of the still-touring 80′s bandsare playing in regular nightclubs.  That means you get a front row seat for a few dollar cover charge.  Now that’s a deal you can’t refuse to pass up.

Who Wants to Take Guitar Lessons Online?

Saturday, January 16th, 2010

Eddie and Barry started gathering up a group of their friends that liked playing music.  Eddie and Barry have only been playing for a little under a year but they have the basics down pretty much.  They both have taken Online Guitar Lessons and feel that to continue to learn it would be nice to have a band to practice with everyday. They know that in order to get very good at playing the guitar, it takes a lot of practice and they feel that they can encourage each other while they are playing together. They would like to be able to play at events in a couple of years.

Odontoglossums and Miltonias

Friday, January 8th, 2010

Warm class orchids are represented by Phalaenopsis, Paphiopedilums, Vandas, Rhynchostylus and Dendrohiums. These plants also require high light, so imagine cool, sunny October mornings as an example of the light and temperature that this class needs. The cool class includes Cymbidiums, Cypripediums, Odontoglossums and Miltonias, and should be grown 5 degrees to 10 degrees F cooler than the medium class. This group will do very well with the air, temperature, and orchid delivery light facilities found in the average home. An occasional deviation will have no harmful effect. The ideal minimum temperature is 60 degrees F nights and high 70s during the days. The medium temperature class is represented by many Cattleyas, Epidendrums, Oncidiums, andLaelias, and most other commercially available orchids.

Football or chicks?

Saturday, December 26th, 2009

It’s Sunday night and me and my bro watched football all day! It’s time for the night game. Our team is playing so we are super excited to order up some pizza, down some drinks and pick out watching our favorite team. We had a little break in between action today. We usually go outside and throw around the football. it was way too cold today and snowing a ton. So we didn’t something different. We had a little challenge to see if we could use the Internet to find the best female group of all time. I type much faster than him…naturally I was able to research the topic a lot quicker – I won!

I Was Made to Learn Piano Chords Very Early

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

I thought that my father was joking when he gave me the permission to learn the piano. I was overjoyed and it became a matter of great pride that I was one of the first allowed to join. My father though put a condition that I will have to learn piano chords as well. I was a little taken aback as it is an advanced level to learn piano chords. I tried but then again my father was firm that in order for me to Learn and Master Piano it was necessary for me to complete this as well. I understood the wisdom of his vision later on when I turned out to be the best rated student in the class of my session in music.

Stupid Songs are Not Educational

Monday, November 30th, 2009

While driving my six year old son to school yesterday, we listened to his new CD. Normally, I can tolerate his childish music but this time was different. Instead of funny, silly songs, the ones on this CD were just plain stupid songs! They made no sense at all. There I was, driving my son to get an education, hoping that he would learn proper civilized English. But he was trying to sing to the bad music that was full of nonsensical words. After I dropped him off at school, I went straight to the music store. I demanded a refund and bought my son a new CD, but this time I listened to it first.

Download Free Ares and Chat With Friends

Friday, November 27th, 2009

I have never been too Internet savvy.  My kids practically grew up on the computer, so as far as computer knowledge, they have me beat by a long shot.  One day, one of the kids told me they were going to Download Free Ares so they can get music.  When they did, they got a lot more than music.  Their is so much you can do on Ares.  They even have a chat room.  How cool is that?  My kids are in heaven with this program.  They have found all sorts of things to download.  Pretty soon, they will not have any more room left on their computers.

Our Family Vacation and Playing the Blues

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

My family and I go on a vacation every year to New Orleans.  Everyone knows this is the city of blues and a wonderful place to visit.  My brother plays guitar and I play the drums when we are at home.  He usually takes his guitar with him when we go away just in case he gets a chance to play.  This year while we were on vacation we were walking down the roads and a group of guys were playing in the middle of the street.  They saw his guitar and asked him if he knew how to play blues guitar.   He told them he would love to try and that was the best time of our vacation.
