Is the Currency Exchange for all Foreign Countries Less Than US Dollars?

I have been studying the various types of currency exchange among different countries. When comparing the United States currency to various other countries, it seems that I have always found the US to have a higher dollar value. This has me wondering if it has always been this way and why? Is the US dollar worth more than the currency in all foreign countries or does this amount vary with the condition of the economy? It seems to me that all countries, whether US or foreign, should have the same value for their form of currency. This just might help improve the economy for every country.
