Lesson Learned the Hard Way
Sometimes we must be reminded of the old phrase that you get what you pay for. Evidently I paid for severe blisters, because that’s certainly what I got. So, my trusty old boots finally kicked the bucket. Being a little strapped for cash, I went to an unnamed chain store and picked up a pair of discount hiking boots for a ridiculously cheap price to hold me over until I could afford some new ones. Long story short, six miles of easy hiking left me nearly hobbled. I wasn’t quite bleeding, but I easily could have been. Save yourself some pain and spend a little extra. It’s worth it!
